9:00 am
As part of the NHS 70 celebrations, Parkrun UK along with Dame Kelly Holmes have organised parkruns dedicated to celebrating 70 years of the NHS.
For those of you that aren’t aware, Parkruns are a completely free, and run weekly. Parkrun organise runs in parks across the UK. The run is 5km and timed. But there is no time limit for completion. Participants can run, jog or walk, and bring their children, no matter how small.
Parkruns want to celebrate the NHS turning 70, so they will have runs taking place all over the UK on Saturday 09 June.
Our local run for Cambridge will be joining in with the celebrations at the usual Parkrun location: Milton Country Park.
The run starts at 09:00 am where there will be a brief welcome speech, followed by the run and then tea and cake afterwards in the park café.
Please come along on the day and help celebrate NHS’ 70th birthday and have some fun running with others.
Feel free to share your pictures via social media, tagging @CUH_CHaW and @CUH_NHS so we can share these too.
